DustViewII
The DustView II combines sample handling, real-time measurement, and data evaluation in one compact desktop device.
It determines the dust release of all types of bulk materials by extinction measurement according to CIPAC MT 171.1 โ non-destructive, fast, and highly reproducible. With its integrated computer, touch display, and intuitive HMI, the system operates stand-alone and requires virtually no maintenance.
During the production, conveying, or filling of powders and bulk solids, dust generation can affect safety, product quality, and efficiency.
DustView II measures dusting behavior under defined conditions using a free-fall and impact test, providing reliable results within seconds.
The measurement procedure is straightforward: approx. 30 g of sample are placed into the funnel; once the flap opens, the material falls into the dust chamber. The device continuously records the resulting dust cloud via laser extinction measurement. The maximum extinction and the 30-second value form the basis for calculating the dust index, with all data stored automatically.
Key advantages:
Realistic free-fall and impact simulation
Automated, precise, and reproducible measurement
Immediate results: maximum and 30 s values for coarse and fine dust
